AITZOL

We met Aitzol at a wood chopping competition in the Basque Country of Spain. His presence and athleticism was mesmerising, little did we know he is the Spanish champion of this sport! Aitzol explained to us the tradition, culture, and language behind the sport. While talking with him, we discovered his love for poetry. His way with words gives him an interesting perspective to share about being a champion. This was a very special Human Postcards episode that took us further than we could have imagined, deep into the roots of the Basque culture.
